For over ten years, homeschooling wasn’t just something I did. It was who I was.

If you’ve homeschooled for any length of time, you understand. Homeschooling isn’t only curriculum or a schedule. It shapes your days, your friendships, your conversations, and the way you see yourself. You become the teacher, the planner, the encourager, and the one who knows exactly where every child is, academically and emotionally, without anyone having to ask.

So when I watched my daughter walk across the stage at her high school graduation, I felt so much pride. And then, in the quiet moments afterward, I noticed something else: wait, something is changing for me too.

In this episode, I’m sharing honestly about what it’s been like to step out of the season I poured my whole heart into. And I’m talking about something we don’t discuss nearly enough: the grief of a good ending. Sometimes the hardest transitions aren’t the painful ones. They’re the beautiful ones, because you’re not leaving something bad. You’re leaving something good.

We talk about:

  • Why it’s possible to grieve a season that was exactly what God intended
  • What happens when we connect our identity to our assignment
  • The moment God reminded me, “I didn’t just call you to homeschool. I called you to Me.”
  • Living in the uncomfortable in-between, when the old season is gone and the new one hasn’t fully appeared yet

And this conversation isn’t only for homeschool moms. Maybe you’re becoming an empty nester, changing careers, or stepping into something new after years of pouring into everyone else. If you’re standing at the edge of a new chapter and wondering who you are now, this episode is for you.

You are not behind. You are not forgotten. And you are definitely not finished.
