There’s something special about opening the doors to a place you’ve been dreaming about for years. You’ve imagined what it could become, prayed over the details, worked through the unexpected challenges, and wondered what it might look like when everything finally comes together.

And then one day, you get to say, “It’s open!”

That’s exactly how I feel about Christian Moms Café.

After weeks of designing, writing, building, and more than a few hours tucked away in my office, I’m thrilled to announce that ChristianMoms.net is officially live!

This new website is more than a fresh look for an existing brand. It’s the beginning of a new chapter, one that brings together my long-standing desire to encourage Christian women with a vision for creating a welcoming space for moms in every season of life.

So grab your favorite cup of coffee or tea, pull up a chair, and let me tell you how we got here.

A Journey That Began More Than 20 Years Ago

Long before social media became part of our everyday lives, I was experimenting with ways to connect women online.

In 2004, I launched Christian Ladies Connect, my first digital magazine and online gathering place for Christian women. Back then, building a community on the internet looked very different from what it does today. We were figuring things out as we went, creating websites and finding ways to share our lives, ideas, and faith with one another.

The following year, that project grew into the Christian Ladies Talk Radio podcast.

Then life changed. I became a mother, began homeschooling, and eventually launched Christian Homeschool Moms in 2012.

For nearly 15 years, Christian Homeschool Moms became a meaningful home for sharing our family's experiences, discussing home education, and encouraging other parents who were navigating the homeschooling journey. It gave me a place to express myself, connect with other moms, and create resources around a lifestyle that had become such a significant part of our family.

Over the years, I’ve had conversations with so many women about faith, lesson plans, parenting challenges, and the things nobody quite prepares you for before you become a mom.

Through every project, one belief has remained constant: we grow better together.

And now, in many ways, I find myself returning to where it all began.

Christian Moms Café brings together that original vision of connection and encouragement with a broader understanding of who we are as women and mothers. The desire to create a place where Christian women can find one another has never really left me.

When Your Calling Comes Full Circle

I’ll be honest. My journey hasn't followed a straight line.

There have been seasons when I imagined my life taking a completely different direction. I’ve explored other opportunities, pursued different ideas, and wondered whether it might be easier to step away from this kind of work altogether.

At times, I thought I would be happier simply building a career elsewhere and leaving the world of online media and community building behind.

But here I am, still creating, still connecting, and still finding myself drawn to the same kind of work I began doing more than two decades ago.

I've prayed for different things and imagined different possibilities for my future. Yet this desire to support and encourage women continues to find its way back into my life.

I’ve come to see that as something worth paying attention to.

I believe Christian Moms Café is part of my calling, and launching this website feels like another chapter in a story God has been writing for a long time.

That doesn't mean every step has been easy or that I have every detail figured out. Far from it! But there is something meaningful about looking back and recognizing how experiences from different seasons have prepared you for what comes next.

Sometimes, the thing you're building today looks surprisingly similar to something you started years ago. You simply have a different perspective, more life experience, and a deeper understanding of why it matters.

That's what this launch represents for me.

Why Christian Moms Café? Why Now?

Motherhood changes us.

Our children grow, our responsibilities shift, our interests evolve, and the way we understand ourselves can change along the way. The season we once thought would define our entire lives eventually becomes one chapter in a much bigger story.

I'm experiencing that transition personally.

My daughter has headed off to college, and my husband and I are adjusting to a different rhythm at home. My days no longer revolve around lesson plans and homeschooling schedules, but I'm still very much a mom.

And I know I'm not the only woman navigating a new season.

Some moms are welcoming their first babies. Others are raising toddlers, helping teenagers navigate the world, supporting young adults as they become independent, or discovering what life looks like after their children leave home. Some are grandmothers who are still growing, learning, and figuring out what God has for them in this season.

Our circumstances may look different, but we still have questions, dreams, relationships, responsibilities, and a desire to live meaningful lives rooted in our faith.

Christian Moms Café is a place for all of us.

You don't have to homeschool to belong here. You don't have to be a young mom, have a particular family structure, or be in the same season as the woman sitting next to you.

You simply need a place where your experiences can be taken seriously, where your faith can inform your everyday life, and where you can find encouragement for the journey you're on.

I want this to be a space that feels welcoming rather than divisive, encouraging rather than argumentative, and grounded in grace rather than the pressure to have everything figured out.

In a world where online conversations can become so negative, I still believe there's value in treating one another like friends. Even when we haven't met face-to-face, we can share our stories, learn from one another, and offer encouragement across the miles.

That's the spirit behind Christian Moms Café.

Take a Look Around the New Café

So, what's waiting for you at ChristianMoms.net?

We're building a welcoming online home filled with thoughtful stories, practical resources, conversations about faith, and encouragement for the everyday realities of motherhood.

Here's a little preview of what you'll find.

The Christian Moms Café Digital Magazine

Our digital magazine is the heart of the new website. Think of it as an online magazine with the accessibility of a blog and the variety of a publication you can return to whenever you need something meaningful to read.

We'll be sharing personal essays, reflections on motherhood and identity, devotionals, recipes with stories behind them, practical guides, and more.

Our topics will extend beyond parenting advice to explore the many dimensions of women's lives, including:

  • Faith and spiritual growth: Living out our beliefs in ordinary, everyday moments.
  • Motherhood and identity: Understanding who we are as women while navigating the changing seasons of parenting.
  • Wellness, beauty, and style: Making room for self-care and personal expression.
  • Work, career, and finances: Exploring our professional lives, goals, and financial responsibilities.
  • Relationships and home: Nurturing the connections and spaces that shape our lives.

These subjects are all part of the bigger picture of who we are as women and mothers.

The website is still growing, so you may notice that some sections have more content than others right now. That's intentional in the sense that we're at the beginning of something new. There's room for more stories, more perspectives, and more voices to help shape what this publication becomes.

And that's where you come in!

A Special Digital Flipbook Coming This Winter

I'm also working toward something a little different: a special holiday flipbook planned for early December 2026.

My vision is to create a beautiful, page-turning digital publication that feels like something you can settle into with a warm drink and enjoy at your own pace.

I'm hoping this first issue will be the beginning of a seasonal publication that we can revisit throughout the year, potentially releasing new editions quarterly.

There's still plenty of work ahead, but I'm excited about the possibility of bringing our stories together in a format that feels a little more like a traditional magazine while making it accessible online.

The Christian Moms Café Podcast

If you've been listening to the podcast, you'll continue to find it as part of our new online home.

The podcast has always been a place for honest conversations about faith, family, motherhood, and the experiences that shape us. Now, those conversations will live alongside articles and resources that allow us to explore these subjects even further.

An episode might introduce an idea or a story that stays with you. A related article can give you another perspective, offer additional encouragement, or invite you to reflect on the subject in a new way.

I love the possibility of creating that kind of connection between what we hear and what we read.

A Weekly Newsletter Delivered to Your Inbox

Our newsletter has been around for more than a decade, and it will continue to be one of the easiest ways to stay connected.

For now, you'll receive updates about new podcast episodes, articles, videos, and other things happening at the café. I'm also planning to incorporate more practical encouragement for moms into future editions.

If you're already on my mailing list, you don't need to sign up again. Just keep an eye out for emails from Demetria at Christian Moms Café.

If you haven't subscribed yet, you can join us through the website at ChristianMoms.net.

Think of it as a little visit to the café delivered right to your inbox each week.

We're Opening the Door to Guest Writers!

Here's one of the things I'm most excited about: we're officially welcoming interest from guest writers!

Christian Moms Café isn't meant to be a publication that reflects only my experiences or perspective. I want it to become a place where women of faith can share their stories, explore meaningful topics, and encourage other moms through the lessons they've learned along the way.

Maybe you've experienced something that changed the way you understand motherhood. Perhaps you've been reflecting on your identity, your faith, your relationships, or a transition that's taken you somewhere unexpected.

Maybe you have a practical skill, a story of personal growth, or a perspective that could help another woman feel less alone.

I'd love to hear about it.

And here's something important: you don't have to be a published author or professional writer to express interest.

You don't need an impressive list of writing credits or a perfectly polished article already sitting on your computer. What matters is that you have something meaningful to contribute and a genuine interest in sharing it with other women.

When you reach out, tell us about the article you'd like to write and why the subject matters to you. Let us get to know the heart behind your idea.

We're currently looking for ideas for our holiday and winter content, so this is a wonderful time to share what's been stirring in your heart.

If you've been thinking about writing for a publication, developing your voice, or finding a new way to use your gifts, I'd love for you to explore this opportunity.

You can find the writer interest form on our website at ChristianMoms.net.

I'm looking forward to discovering the stories and perspectives women will bring to this growing community.

What About Christian Homeschool Moms?

If you've been following my work for years, you might be wondering what this launch means for Christian Homeschool Moms.

I'm happy to tell you that it's still here!

Christian Homeschool Moms remains an active resource for homeschooling families. The blog continues to be available, and the encouragement and information you've found there aren't disappearing.

What has changed is where I'm focusing my energy.

Since I'm no longer homeschooling, my life and interests have expanded beyond that particular season of motherhood. Christian Moms Café gives me room to continue supporting homeschooling moms while also reaching women whose lives and parenting experiences look very different.

Think of Christian Moms Café as a new home base for this next chapter, not a replacement that erases everything that came before.

I'm grateful for the community that grew around Christian Homeschool Moms. That experience helped shape the work I'm doing today, and I'm carrying those lessons with me as we build something new.

There's a Seat at the Table for You

When I look at Christian Moms Café, I see more than a website or a digital magazine. I see an opportunity to continue building the kind of community I've wanted to create since those early days of Christian Ladies Connect.

A place where women can share their experiences without needing to have all the answers.

A place where motherhood is taken seriously, but where we also recognize that being a mom is one part of a much bigger life.

A place where faith can shape our conversations about our families, our work, our relationships, our well-being, and the women we're becoming.

And a place where we can encourage one another, even when our stories don't look exactly alike.

This new chapter is just getting started. There's much more to create, more voices to welcome, and more conversations to have.

I'd love for you to be part of it.

So, take a look around. Explore the articles, catch up on the podcast, sign up for the newsletter, or tell us about an idea you'd love to contribute.

And if there's something you'd like to see at the café, I'd love to hear that, too. What topics would you enjoy reading about? What conversations do you wish we had more often? What would make this space meaningful to you in your current season?

Your voice matters here.

Thank you for being part of this journey, whether you've been with me since the early days or you're discovering Christian Moms Café for the very first time.

I'm so glad you're here.

Pull up a chair, friend. The café is open, and there's a place for you at the table.
